Iraqis marking Muharram mourning in Tehran

Iraqis residing in the Iranian capital of Tehran have been holding mourning ceremonies for martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).

The Muslims mostly from southern Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala hold annual mourning ceremonies carrying torches to mourn the martyrdom of the Imam.

The mourning ceremony of carrying torches is being held on the 8th, 9th, and 10th nights of the mourning month of Muharram.
